TD-e: The New Mobile Ground Penetration Radar from Terra-Digital

More and more often, we’ve found ourselves asking: how can we effectively organize data acquisition for pipeline detection over long routes or across large measurement areas?

1. The Challenge of Large-Scale Pipeline Detection

A car as a towing vehicle often doesn’t provide the necessary flexibility and maneuverability on diverse terrain. On the other hand, walking the site on foot takes far too long and is exceptionally labor-intensive.

First came the idea for a solution—then months of planning, selecting the appropriate carrier device, followed by precise installation and system configuration.

Unveiled at Coreum Practical Days

We are excited to have presented our new product for data acquisition with ground radar to the public: the TD-e (Terra-Digital electric) was officially revealed at this year’s Coreum Practical Days.

2. Electric Mobility & Cutting-Edge Radar Technology

This electric-powered vehicle features an integrated battery capacity engineered for a full workday. It powers the vehicle itself, the ground-penetrating radar, and all specialized mounting systems.

  • Zero-Turn Maneuverability: Offers maximum turning capability and agility, even in tight and demanding environments.
  • IDS Stream DP Radar: Utilizes newly developed EST technology to deliver maximum detection quality and unprecedented penetration depth.
  • Fast Recharging: The high-capacity battery can be recharged directly in the device or externally within only 2 hours.

3. High Productivity & Proven Efficiency

Initial projects have proven that areas of approximately 8,000–10,000 m² can be thoroughly scanned within just 5–6 hours by a single operator.

Conclusion

The TD-e makes projects possible that previously required several days of arduous data acquisition—saving both substantial time and cost while ensuring unmatched data precision.
